A New Approach to Giving - With Exhilarating Joy!

There are truly generous people in this world. But the best ones don't blow their own trumpets.

We don't want to steal anyone's final reward, but we do want to draw more attention to the skill or art of being a wise and generous giver. Some need to learn this. I for one, have long desired to be a generous, extravagant, but also a very wise and discerning giver..

It often happens that those with the most to give don't know where the most worthy causes and needs exist. Or, we want to give, but out of limited resources. We can't afford - not yet - to fling our gifts around foolishly. I've long wished to find a site to help me with my giving plans, and because a friend, who calls himself the Global Nomad, keeps sending me the names of people who are in need, especially those who are doing worthy work of eternal value, I am preparing this site to help us get a good grip on becoming wise and tactful givers. In places where it will really count for something, at that!

This Home page will contain the most recent news flashes of small groups, missions or families with a really urgent need for financial help. Eventually that news may grow into a whole section.

There is a blogs section where the Global Nomad can keep us posted on his discoveries and finds in various countries and places. He has quite the natural skill for meeting people, discovering what they are doing, and their need, and then introducing them to someone else whom they can help, or who might help them. - I will try, when I can, to post my own thoughts and views as I learn to be a better Principled Giver.

There is a Books and Gifts section. Whenever I come across a good book on giving, or one that would make a great gift, and other gift ideas I'll put them into our Amazon store, and some other shopping links. Often the best gift is money, but it is also a great perk for givers to choose a gift for someone that is just perfect for that person.

(Now you can buy gifts and give your rebates painlessly at the same time! See Fundraising by Shopping)

Furthermore, we have an Ideas Basket, where we can share good ideas for gifts. Some folks need suggestions to get rolling. There are some ways of providing gifts even on a very limited budget. One doesn't have to be rich to be a generous giver with a golden heart!

Of course, articles on giving - and perhaps on receiving, will be in order as well.

Another area is True Givers. Those who are, or have been (as we read biographies) great givers will be profiled here, so that we can learn from them. When possible, I'd like to interview some, and ask questions to draw out lessons from their giving experiences. Some might even be willing to share some testimonials of their giving experiences.

Would this site prove much if we didn't have a section to present some worthy causes and individuals who needs gifts? Yes, I have already profiled five small missions and ministries which need funds to further their good work. As I can, I would like to continue to do that, for others, and also worthy community initiatives.

However, not just any and everyone who sends me pleas is going to get this profile web page. I want an application form filled out, references, and I want to make sure they are who they say they are, and are truly in need. If in my spirit I find hesitation to promote them, I will decline. I will be a shrewd woman of integrity in this matter.

Got a question? Check Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) page, and a way to reach me, and the recommended causes. Reciprocal links are called Handshakes, as they are mutually beneficial, and we have a section for our Global Nomad's finds. He's always discovering good websites too.

Please note: This site is under serious renovations. I've taken Mambo down It was out of date and hard to maintain. Not all pages are in place yet, in this new edition - some links will disappoint you. Feel free to check back every week, but think kindly of us until everything is in place and ready to grow effectively.
